Fireworks in Sandwich | July 1, 2023 | Approximately 10 PM
Did you know that Sandwich is the oldest town on Cape Cod? It was settled way back in 1637, a whopping 139 years before the Declaration of Independence was signed. Talk about history! If you happen to be in the area, you should definitely check out Sandwich's 4th of July celebrations. They're something special.
Normally, the town's fireworks displays take place at Shawme Pond, which is surrounded by some really cool historic structures like Hoxie House, Dexter Grist Mill, and the Newcomb Tavern. But this year, things are shaking up a bit. The fireworks celebration will actually be held at the former Henry T. Wing School on Water Street. Can you believe it?
The school campus is now home to the head offices of Sandwich Public Schools and the fields for Sandwich Little League.
Mark your calendar because this year's fireworks display will happen on Saturday, July 1. Grab a spot and get ready for a spectacular show starting around 10:00 PM. The rest of Sandwich's Independence Day events will still be on July 4, so you can make it a weekend full of fun and patriotism.

Conveniently situated near Main Street in the heart of downtown Chatham, Veterans Field offers easy accessibility. If you're staying at one of the town's coastal vacation rentals, you'll be pleased to know that it's just a short and pleasant walk away.
Falmouth Heights Beach | July 4, 2023 | Dusk
Get ready for an unforgettable fireworks display at Falmouth Heights Beach on July 4th. This beach is renowned for its prime location near Falmouth Inner Harbor and has been recognized as one of the top ten displays in the country by Travel and Leisure Magazine.
Keep in mind that navigating to the event might be a bit tricky due to the parking ban in the surrounding area. To ensure a smooth experience, plan ahead and arrive early. Look for parking near Main Street and enjoy a pleasant walk to the beach. Choosing a parking spot farther away from the beach will make it easier to leave after the event and enhance your overall convenience.
As the sun sets, prepare to be captivated by the enchanting Falmouth Heights fireworks. They will be accompanied by a delightful musical arrangement that you can tune into on 102.9 FM. Immerse yourself in the synchronized symphony of sound and visual spectacle for a truly memorable experience.
Provincetown Harbor | July 4, 2023 | Dusk
Get ready for a spectacular fireworks show on Provincetown Harbor, another highly anticipated Fourth of July event. This dazzling display takes place at dusk on July 4th and offers breathtaking views from various coastal locations. While many choose to gather around the MacMillan Pier area for an optimal experience, you can also savor the show while indulging in a delectable meal at one of the community's numerous beachfront restaurants.
For a truly exceptional experience, consider booking a spot on Dolphin Fleet of Provincetown's Whale Watch and Fireworks cruise. These cruises depart at 5:00, 5:30, or 6:00 on July 4th and remain in the harbor until the fireworks display concludes. With meal service and a full bar on board, you can revel in the festivities in utmost style and comfort.
Keep in mind that downtown streets will be closed to vehicle traffic starting at 3 p.m. If you plan on arriving and securing a parking spot in town, it is advisable to arrive early in the day. The earlier, the better! This will ensure a smoother experience and ample time to find parking in the bustling area.
Wherever you decide to catch the fireworks this summer, we hope that you have a safe, happy, and healthy season. Cheers from your friends at Sea Shore Cape Cod Summer Rentals!
